SMS MT Inbound API
The SMS MT Inbound API is used to configure Routing, vHLR, and vHLR reference database (country, operator, and CC+NDC) data over HTTP for the SS7 Platform.
Routing connections tie together the sigtran (SS7/SIGTRAN), SMSC, and ESME connections used to deliver an inbound MT SMS, while the Vhlr resource holds per-Global-Title (GT) settings such as cache TTL and the SS7 error codes returned for specific lookup failures — missing data, invalid SCCP data, unknown subscriber, and IMSI not found, among others.
The Vhlrdb Operator, Vhlrdb Country, and Vhlrdb CCNDC resources hold the reference data — operators keyed by MCC/NDC/IMSI, countries keyed by MCC and calling code, and country code/national destination code combinations — that the SS7 Platform uses to resolve a subscriber's country and operator during MT-inbound routing decisions.
